About Ojika Island in the Goto Islands

Ojika Town, located at the northern tip of the Goto Islands in Nagasaki Prefecture, is a small island with a population of about 2,200. Due to its magnificent scenic beauty, the entire island has been designated as part of Saikai National Park. Additionally, on one of Ojika Town’s islands, Nozaki Island, the former Nokubi Church and the Funamori district have been recognized as UNESCO World Heritage sites. On this small island, where there are no convenience stores, the residents live peacefully, listening to the sounds of the sea, the wind, and the birds. During the music festival, the island resonates even more beautifully as the sounds of classical music blend with the natural sounds of the island’s stunning landscape.
